I was a little surprised by how much ornaments were worth until I was in a antiques store that specialized in them.
My family has had the tradition of giving each other Hallmark ornaments ever since I can remember and I know some of the ones we have are worth a little.
We need to have this information about christmas ornaments. Too often we neglect their value and do not find the means to maintain their value. I’m a collector on the side and have a rather large, and treasured, stash myself

Christmas is such a great occasion to display collectibles that I’m glad to hear that Christmas ornaments and other xmas collectibles maintain their value well. I’ve always loved christmas figurines. I imagine that they maintain their value as well.

Sometimes it’s that one special ornament that really makes a collection. For me theres one in particular that was passed down the family on my mother’s side, it may be on the lower end of the value scale, but it has sentimental value.

In my family we have a box of Christmas ornaments that has been handed down for over 5 generations since my great great grandmother arrived from Ireland over 100 years ago. We really do cherish our ornaments in our household!

I too was surprised at the value of older Christmas tree ornaments. The ones that I used to think were too old and ugly to hang on my tree are the ones that I now cherish the most. I’m so glad my grandmother and mother saved them for me. I hope more grandparents realize what a legacy they can leave their grandchildren by saving some of their old “stuff” and not just throwing it away. You never know!
