Cleaning Marble with New Life Cream Polish

For very dirty marble, New Life Cream Polish can be a great way to clean it and get a beautiful shine back. The procedure to do this is as follows.  You can use “0000″ steel wool with the cream polish to accmplish the task.

Pour cream polish on the marble and work it in to the stone with the steel wool.  After you have done that thoroughly, go back over it again with a clean rag and clean polish.  Buff it lightly and let it dry.  (Tip:  old worn out T-shirts work best for all cleaning projects whether you’re using Cream Polish, Furniture Masque or Wood Moisturizer.

Chipped or gouged marble can be smoothed out by taking a sanding disk on a rotary sander and working with Cream Polish to bring the edges down level.  If you do this, use 1800 grain paper, then 2200 grain paper and finally 2400 grain sandpaper.  Then use the “0000″ steel wool and polish to rub out the rest of the grit left by the sand paper.  Wipe it clean, buff with New Life Cream Polish then let it dry.

Review of New Life Wood Conditioners

Sometimes customer and distributor feedback is louder and more profound than any words that we could ever publish.  The following is a verbatim letter received from at Mary’s an antique store in Bardstown, KY.

To whom it may concern:

I have had New Life products in my store since 2004.  My mom, an amateur refinisher, is always searching for newer and better products.  So she has tried them all.  Right before I opened my store she discovered New Life…She was sold! And I stated I had to carry New Life in my store.

I use the Cream Polish on my old marble pieces.  I never knew that marble could get so dirty.  The Silver Polish and the Brass and Copper Cleaner are the best and easiest products to use.

I had one customer who was in town for the weekend and stopped in my store with an ornate silver tray they had purchased at Good Will.  She wanted to know if I had anything that would restore its luster.  Of course I showed her New Life and she was properly surprised.  She made several more purchases that day and brought her friends back the next time she was in  town.

That’s what I find to be most remarkable about New Life…it brings back the furniture or silver, brass or copper to what it was from the start.  I clean all my newly acquired antiques with New Life products before they go out on the floor to sell.

Just like my mother, I too am sold on New Life products.

Repairing Buckled Veneer – 3 Easy Steps

One common problem with antiques and older furniture is buckled veneer.  Once the veneer begins buckling there are a few remedies to stop it from ruining the look of the piece.  Before you go the expensive route of going to the refinishing shop check out this do it yourself technique.

Here is one of the tricks of the trade to fix buckled veneer on furniture using New Life Wood Conditioners in a few easy steps:

  1. Soak the veneer with New Life Wood Moisturizer. Keep applying with a brush until the veneer is thoroughly saturated and lies down flat again. Wipe the veneer and surrounding surfaces clean.
  2. Fill a syringe with glue and squirt the glue between the veneer and body of the furniture and clamp to dry.
  3. Once the glue is dry, brush or spray on New Life Tung Oil Finish to reseal and refinish.  New Life Tung OIl will blend with the original finish for a great looking finish.

These simple steps will save you from having to take the furniture to a refinisher to have a veneer “cut in” done, which never looks just right no matter how good the refinisher is.

How to Use New Life Wood Conditioners

The New Life Wood Conditioners family of products are safe and easy to use to bring the life back to antiques, fine furniture, flea market finds and woods of all kinds.  We will be giving some suggested ways to use these products for best results.

We also ask that you give us feedback on the ways that you may have used our products in the past so that we can share those tips with the other users of our products.  We will start with the wood restoration products that are the flagship of Ramax, Inc.
