The flagship product – This is the original orange oil. Created by Maxine Krueger Covert from San Antonio, Texas in 1977.

It came out of necessity in her own refinishing shop to restore badly marred and dirty furniture. She worked on her own formulation of refined beeswax and cold pressed orange peel.

  1. Tung oil caused very serious damage to l8th furniture at a major museum
some years ago. It made national news!! Tung oil, once applied, causes wood to become dark and it is irreversible. The curator of this museum, the name escapes me, was not aware of this, and a bit of history is being destroyed.
Tung oil is bad news. As for less valuable and newer items I have no knowledge as to the effects of Tung Oil. Trust me, this product requires a
warning for anyone applying to very valuable early furniture.

  2. You have a list of impressive restoration projects. I plan to try Remax for an old desk that is sitting in my garage. Not so impressive of a project, but I hope the end result will impress.

  3. Hello.
Sally Star Lynn an employee of mine suggested we carry your product in our stores in Austin. She carried your product 20 years ago in her antique store in Pleasanton TX. Please send me a price list.

  4. Brian I agree, tung oil is definitely not for use on finished furniture! We clearly state that it is for unfinished or raw wood. Thanks for the heads up!

  5. Karen thanks for the interest in carrying New Life in your store! We look forward to having you on board!!!
